Siargao tourism: Why tourists love Siargao?

Siargao is one of the best places to spend your vacation here in the Philippines. It’s not just an ordinary Island but a paradise. People who spend a week or more on the island would surely wish to stay longer or come back sooner. This beautiful Island is not just about nice beaches and turquoise waters. Everything is here. Siargao slowly becomes one of the most known tourism destinations in the Philippines and in the world. It’s a welcoming vibe, laidback island lifestyle, awesome people, and when I say that, it’s like tourists blends in with the locals. The only place I’ve been to where you can feel at home. It’s like a community of just families and friends. It seems you’ve already known each people you happen to bump into.

When I was there, I was like, wait! Am I a foreigner in my own country? It’s because the foreign population outnumbered local tourists. Yes, Siargao is known for adrenaline junkie foreign travelers. Due to its waves that barrel up to 9ft high making it known as the Surfing Capital of the Philippines. And Siargao serves as the site for the yearly international surfing cup. It is an international annual sports tournament and an iconic event that draws the best surfers in the world. Who would not love going to a place where you can visit a dozen beautiful tourist spots where beauty is wild, overwhelming, and incredibly scenic to check on. And Siargao tourism is not only limited to the surfing area in Cloud 9.

MAGPUPUNGKO TIDAL POOL

It’s a nice place to hop on. The rock pool formation was made naturally by time and mother nature itself. It’s so cool that while swimming in the pool you have an overlooking stunning ocean with big waves crashing onto the rocks.

TAKTAK FALLS

Is the only Island’s waterfalls. For the love of adventure and exploration, you can always give this a go. You can have a thrilling yet chill day at TakTak Falls. It’s going to be a long ride so it’s a perfect day trip paired with some sites in North Siargao.

SUGBA LAGOON

Should be on top of your bucket list. Though I ran out of time when I visited Siargao for the first time. Had too much fun savoring the ambiance on the island, So I promised myself to be back next month and I made it. It’s an awesome day trip adventure that gives you an unforgettable experience, seeing the beauty of the lagoon as you go on paddleboarding, kayaking, and the famous diving spot where people are lining up. Don’t miss that famous dive when you get there.

KAWHAGAN ISLAND

Explore the magnificent beauty of Kawhagan Island. It is known for its magnificent white sand and crystal clear water. It’s usually part of the tour before or after visiting Sugba Lagoon. Kawhagan Island is located in San Benito, Siargao Island near Del Carmen, Surigao del Norte.

NAKED, DAKU & GUYAM ISLANDS.

Visit the three Instagram worthy beautiful islands for an island-hopping adventure that you should not miss.

Each of the islands has its capturing beauty to offer. You’ll surely enjoy this trip with friends around the island. I would suggest you ask help from locals on how to get there for a cheaper option, but if money is not a big deal then go get an organizer to take care of everything for you. My favorite among the three is Daku island, you can roam around the island and explore the white crystal sand and clear water. We stayed there a bit longer for a swim after our sumptuous boodle fight local style lunch.

A week of stay on the island is fun but it would be awesome to stay longer. I would love to stay in Siargao for a month. Oh, not to mention I’ve met friends who stayed there for more than two months and some even decided to stay for good.

Siargao Island has a wealth of activities to keep you busy for days.

From paradise-like beaches to swim on, different spots to explore, to restaurants food indulgence, and nightlife parties. I’m no party type girl. Also, I don’t drink alcohol, I just don’t like the taste. I think because I’m not just used to it. But there was a sudden switch. Siargao made me explore things that I am not into. One night I was offered a drink and that lasted for 7 nights. Those nights partying spend there are one of the best nights by far and the rest was history.

What makes Siargao Party the best, is that bars are open but each place has its own scheduled parties and discos where everyone gathered which makes it more exciting and awesome. So the longer your stay in Siargao the more you get along with new peers of good vibes. I’ve met a few both local and foreign pals. That is also one thing I do love about Siargao, I’ve met a lot of strangers that turn out to be my good friends. Don’t miss the chance to experience what it is like to dance and party on the island of Siargao.

You will fall in love with Siargao

Indeed it is true that you will fall in love with Siargao, It is a great place to travel solo, make connections, and build lasting friendships. If you feel lost and kinda feel like the need of finding inner peace or maybe trying to escape from whatever chaos life has thrown you at least for a moment of forgetting it, Siargao is waving at you. Sometimes what we think just an escape could be the solution. Siargao made me realize so much about life. Leaving the place with a big smile on my heart.

Tourism in Siargao is gaining popularity. And I’m confident that coming to Siargao will be one of the best decisions you ever make. In my own experience, be it local or international friends that moment when they’re about to say goodbye for their last day on the Island, everyone is swearing “I will surely come back in Siargao the soonest possible time “. And they surely did. Everyone is absolutely blown away by this majestic island. They have this saying to be careful because once you’ve been touched by Siargao you’ll never stop wanting to come back. Indeed! It’s a spell.
